I have been working hard on my craft since 2004, and I think I have a skill level that shows in my work. I am the do over queen and there are many heads without bodies to suggest that these mistakes drive me to the perfect end. The finished doll always seems to lead to the next doll, one is born out of another. This is why I love making dolls. It is the air I breathe and pretty much defines me. I am a doll maker.

This may sound strange but these bodiless heads and headless bodies speak to me. I have control over the parts and pieces individually, but the position involved in the connection is revealed at the moment the pieces touch one another for the first time. The head moves me to sew it in a certain pose, same with the hands and arms. The whole doll forms itself to be expressive according to its idea of itself.

Close Your Eyes and See . . . . . . . .

They are all finished. My time was lacking with these three, but their patience brought me to a great ending with them. My dolls are definitely my passion, more important than anything. I surely could not suffer through many days without this creative outlet to come home to. I am blessed to be an artist.

So these girls seem pretty at ease. They are all dressed up with collar and ties. I like the way they project a sense of being strong women. Forget the body, it's the head that makes these women attractive . . . . . . . . .

These first two ladies have the twisted twine
wavy b
lue hair.

This final lady's hair is made of black twistie paper, which has been untwisted and then twisted back around a dowel. I then fold it in half and glue it to the head. I first wrapped her head with some of the paper to give a good background to glue to. I love this paper. It allows me to make the most outrageous hairstyles.

I am happy with what these three heads have become. One idea that had three different results. I think sometimes I have lived in a world that lied to me. It kept telling me there is only one right answer, and if your conclusions don't match up then you are unacceptable.

If I can tell you all one thing that I know is true, this is it "The world and all who speak for it, Lie to you."
