So what has seemed like weeks has buzzed by me and my three doll heads. They had a totally different look in their beginning, but the passing time changed them and me.
I tried this and I tried that and well now I think I found their look. My first attempt at hair was with the twisted dyed fabric, but I was not happy with the look. They came out looking like men, which to me is never a good thing, no offense, but I like girl dolls.
My solution was to switch over to dyed twine. After dipping the twine into fabric stiffener, I wrapped it around a dowel. (Always remember to cover the dowel with vaseline so the twine will release once it has dried.) The results are lots of wavy curls.
My twine had been bundled and tied together so I have a central spot to sew onto the head. Started from front to back and just fluffed the hair up as I went.
She's pretty, Huh? She will get a hair cut and style, and she will be a knockout and definitely not a dude.........................................

Nat, the curled twine hair is great! I actually like it the way it is pre-cut and style LOL.

Well Sugar Donkey Dolls, It is very pliable. In fact you can pull the curl out and basically put it back in with a steam iron. The more stiffener you use the harder the twine, But it is never so hard that you can't work with it by using steam.
She looks awesome with the curls!! What a great idea Nat, I love it!!!
